43% of refugees from Ukraine who studied outside Britain said that British employers do not recognize their educational documents.
According to preliminary estimates by the UK Office for National Statistics, 42% of refugees from Ukraine have found work in the new territory – compared to 9% in April.
Data on Ukrainian refugees was collected from July 20 to August 4, 2022. 93% of Ukrainian citizens who arrived in the UK and participated in the initial survey in April stayed, while 7% left the country.
The share of Ukrainian citizens working in the UK increased to 42% against 9% in April, and the share of those with British bank accounts increased to 93% (in April it was 43%).
Some 37% of respondents said they have enough money to support themselves over the next three months, compared to just 26% in April.
At the same time, almost half (47%) of Ukrainian refugees said they were finding it difficult to find work in the UK. The most common is knowledge of English that does not meet the requirements of the job (58%).

Also, the majority of respondents noted that they do not understand very well or do not understand how to apply for a visa extension or replacement (69%) and what government benefits they may be entitled to (58%).
The Bureau of National Statistics emphasized that the statistics presented by them are experimental, so caution should be exercised in their interpretation.
At the beginning of August, around 104,000 Ukrainian refugees had settled in the UK.
