Kazakhstan has suspended arms exports for one year, until September 2023. This decision was made at a meeting of the defense industry commission chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov. It was announced on Saturday, August 27, on the website of the Prime Minister of the Republic.
“The participants considered the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development to suspend the export of weapons, military equipment and military products until the end of August 2023. This proposal was supported by the members of the commission,” said the press service.

The meeting also discussed the revision of licensed legal entities and changes in the law on permits and notifications.
