Authorities are considering the possibility of mandatory evacuation from some areas of the three front-line regions.
Up to 500,000 people may be subject to mandatory evacuation in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zaporozhye regions. This was announced on Channel 24 by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Irina Vereshchuk.
“That is, half a million people may move from the eastern regions to the Center and the West this fall or winter,” he said.
Vereshchuk clarified that the mandatory evacuation can only affect some areas of these regions.
“I will repeat again that we are not talking about evacuation in all these areas, but only the evacuation of some areas, yes, we do have data and we are studying how the heating season will be in these areas now. suffering from shelling in the Russian army. And that is why, assessing the situation, we are waiting for a letter from the leadership of the OVA, and only based on such letters we will make a decision to evacuate from these areas,” the Deputy Chief Said Minister.
Earlier, Vereshchuk called on the residents of the temporarily occupied regions in the south of Ukraine, and especially in Kherson and Zaporozhye, to evacuate as quickly as possible so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can liberate these territories without the civilian population is at risk.
