A local resident gave the enemy the coordinates of the schools for “threat” missile strikes and reported the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the front-line districts of the Mykolaiv region, the SBU detained a Russian agent who gave the enemy the exact coordinates of the city’s schools for the so-called “scary” missile strikes. This was announced on Saturday, August 27, by the SBU press center.
According to law enforcement officials, the attacker also collected intelligence about the deployment, movement and armament of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the south.
It was established that on his “tip” in Nikolaev, several military infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged and a heavy blow was dealt to two schools.
At the same time, in general, since the beginning of the mass invasion of the Russian Federation in the city, three universities, two technical schools and more than 10 schools have been partially or completely destroyed.
As the SBU found out, the detainee was recruited by a military intelligence officer of the Russian Federation.
It is indicated that the detainee was an active participant in discussions on several anti-state Telegram channels, where he did not hide his anti-Ukrainian views and openly promoted Russian narratives.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches of his residence, where they found a mobile phone he used to communicate with a Russian administrator.
Today the attacker is notified of suspicion under the article on unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement of weapons and ammunition in Ukraine, the movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 3 of article 114-2) of the Criminal Code.
He was selected as a preventive measure in the form of detention and faces up to 12 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
It was previously reported that the SBU had exposed Russian agents in the penitentiary system. Traitors passed information to the enemy about employees of penitentiary institutions who did not change their oath and remained loyal to Ukraine. And in Slavyansk, an agent of the Russian Federation was detained, collecting intelligence about the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
