The French company decided in September to sell a 49% stake in TotalEnergies to Terneftegaz.
French company TotalEnergies will sell its stake in Terneftegaz, a joint venture with Russia’s Novatek. He made this move after criticism for business ties with Russia. This was stated in the company’s statement, published on Friday, August 26.
“On August 26, TotalEnergies and Novatek signed a definitive sale and purchase agreement for TotalEnergies’ 49% stake in Terneftegaz. Closing is expected in September 2022 under normal conditions,” the statement said.
