A draft resolution on the termination of the powers of all parliamentarians from the pro-Russian Opposition Platform – During Life party, some of whose representatives justify Russia’s atrocities in Ukraine, was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on August 24 by a group of people’s deputies.
This is reported by the website of the Ukrainian Parliament.
The authors of the initiative were three people’s deputies from European Solidarity – Alexei Goncharenko, Vladimir Ariev and Sofia Fedina, and one representative of the presidential mono-majority – Oleg Dunda.
In Decree No. 7694, they propose to terminate the powers of deputies from the Opposition Platform for Life ahead of schedule, because they left the parliamentary faction of this party, and some even went abroad.
Recall that on April 14, the Opposition Platform for Life faction suspended its activities by decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, but its deputies still continue to attend a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
One of the deputies from the Opposition Platform for Life has already been stripped of his mandate. State traitor Ilya Kiva, who supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine, ceased to be a people’s deputy in March.
