All decisions of local authorities regarding the ban on mass marches are ignored. The Ternopil Regional Council will hold a meeting to resolve the problem.
A column of five thousand believers of the UOC-MP is walking in the Khmelnytsky region in the direction of the Pochaev Assumption Lavra in the Ternopil region. Hromadske reports that it involves the police.
“This is an unorganized column of people, among them there is no one specific who officially leads them. The police ensured public order and the safety of people walking there, as well as their compliance with traffic rules,” the police said.
At the same time, the Defense Council of the Ternopil region on July 26 decided that during the performance of religious rituals, organized movement on foot or on the road, in groups, columns or processions, should be avoided.
However, according to the police, the faithful are ignoring this decision.
“They were moving disorganized, and all the calls of the police not to go, that they did not follow this decision, people just ignored and continued to go in the direction of Pochaev,” explained the police.
The head of Ternopil OVA, Vladislav Trush, announced a meeting of the regional council on August 26, where a decision on this procession should be made.
It was previously reported that the activities of the UOC-MP were banned in Lviv.
The head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epiphany, said that the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate continues to maintain unity with Moscow Patriarch Kirill (Gundyaev). His declaration of independence was just a deceptive maneuver to change the attitude of Ukrainian society towards itself.
