The military aid package announced on Ukraine’s Independence Day highlights Washington’s commitment to long-term support for Kyiv, the Pentagon said.

Ukraine pledged:

six NASAMS air defense systems with additional ammunition;

up to 245,000 shells for 155 mm artillery;

up to 65,000 shells for the 122-mm mortar;

up to 24 anti-artillery radars;

reconnaissance UAVs Puma and auxiliary equipment for UAVs Scan Eagle;
-
anti-drone system VAMPIRE;
-
laser-guided missile systems;
-
funding for training, maintenance and support.
“Announced on Ukraine’s Independence Day, this military aid package underscores the United States’ commitment to Ukraine’s long-term support, representing a multi-year investment in strengthening the resilience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which continues defending its sovereignty in the face of Russian aggression,” the Pentagon said.
It was also noted that since January 2021, the United States has allocated more than $13.5 billion to Ukraine as part of defense assistance.
Recall, according to a Pentagon spokesman, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are successfully weakening the Russian army in the east.
