Two Ethiopian Airlines pilots fell asleep on a flight from Kenya to Ethiopia, overshooting the runway. This was reported by nzherald.co.nz.
It was noted that the pilots of the Boeing 738 flying ET-343 from Khartoum (Sudan) to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) approached the international airport, but did not begin to refuse. While the pilots slept, the autopilot system kept the aircraft at an altitude of 11,200 m. Air traffic control tried several times to contact the crew, but was unsuccessful.
After waking up, the pilots maneuvered and landed on the runway 25 minutes later. No one on the aircraft was injured and the aircraft landed safely.
