Russia wants to place another large airfield in Belarus. We are talking about the airfield in Luninets, Brest region. The forest is now massively collapsing there and communications are being carried out. This was reported by the Strategic Communications Department of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Telegram.
The activity was seen on satellite imagery. Judging by the satellite photo, the activity at the facility is designed to expand it several times, add more barracks and hangars, and create an analogue of Zyabrivka only in the Brest region. Previously, this airfield was rarely used and was considered a reserve, the report said.
They added that the Kremlin began to actively militarize Belarus. A few months ago, the Luninets regional executive committee received an order to build housing in the city for the families of Russian army servicemen.
Given the scope (of the work – ed.), it can be assumed that the “zhabrovka” will soon have a competitor for the primary destruction of a potential threat to Ukraine, – summed up in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, the Belarusians undertook to restore Russian combat aircraft. In particular, the defense ministries of Belarus and the government of the terrorist country signed fixed-term contracts for the repair and restoration of aviation equipment (MiG-29 aircraft). Employees of the Aircraft Repair Plant in Baranovichi will be involved in such work. Specialists of the armed forces of Belarus are taking measures to remove them from storage and reactivation for further use in the war against Ukraine.
It should be reminded that on March 6, the Russian occupation forces used Su-35S, Su-34 and Su-25 aircraft, which took off from the Belarusian airfields of Baranovichi, Luninets and Lida, to carry out airstrikes on military and civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and Zhytomyr.
