“So far, the Russian invaders have caused destruction to Nikolaev of more than UAH 813 million. In total, about 250 community facilities were damaged, including kindergartens, schools, hospitals, cultural and educational institutions sports,” Senkevich wrote on a telegram channel.
The mayor reported that a total of about 1,500 appeals from city residents regarding damage to residential buildings were recorded.
“Today we are working to restore people’s housing as soon as possible and prepare it for winter,” the message said.
Senkevich also said that as a result of shelling in the city on the night of Saturday, August 20, no one was injured, but at about 03:00 six residential buildings were damaged, where more than 60 windows were broken.
“According to the military administration, Russian terrorists attacked the city with S-300 missiles,” the mayor wrote.
Recall that on the night of August 17, the Russian army fired two missiles at the Black Sea National University. At the time of the attack, only one guard was in the building of the educational institution, he was not injured. The second time Russian troops attacked the university was on August 19.
