The money will be spent, among other things, on military education and training of the Ukrainian military, the White House noted.
US President Joe Biden signed a decree providing Ukraine with a new $755 million military aid package. This was announced by the press service of the White House on Friday, August 19.
In particular, a memorandum was published in which Biden delegated to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken the authority to allocate up to $775 million for defense goods and services of the Department of Defense, as well as military education and Ukrainian military training.
Earlier on Friday, American journalist Caitlin Doornbos, citing the Pentagon, reported what exactly was included in the new US military aid package.
It was noted that the United States is exploring the possibility of providing Kyiv with new types of weapons that “will allow for a change in the situation on the battlefield” in the south and east of the country.
This week, the Pentagon revealed the shipment of ammunition to Ukraine. They were loaded onto a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
