In the Volyn, Polessky and Seversk directions, the situation remained unchanged. The enemy shelled the regions of Chernivtsi, Pavlovka and Gudovoye in the Sumy region. This was reported in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated August 17.
From tanks, MLRS and artillery, the Russians fired at the areas of Kharkov, Novaya Nikolaevka, Dementievka, Korobochkino, Pechenegs, Russian Tishki, Odnorobovka, Lebyazhye, Novy, Svetlichny, Sosnovka and Rubezhnoye in the Kharkiv direction. The enemy tried to lose the defense of the Ukrainian defenders near Lebyazhye and Bazalievka, but had no success and retreated.
In the Slavic direction, the invaders from various artillery tried to defeat the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroy civilian infrastructure in the areas of Brazhkovka, Dibrovnoye, Mazanovka, Dolina and Dovgenkiy. The enemy tried to advance in the directions of Novovodmitrovka and Mazanovka, but was forced to withdraw.
In the Kramatorsk direction, in order to displace the Ukrainian fighters from their positions, the Russians fired from tanks and artillery near Nikolaevka, Kramatorsk, Verkhnekamensky, Tatyanovka, Serebryanka, Grigorovka and Raygorodok. Unsuccessful was an enemy attack in the direction of the village Vesele.
In the Bakhmut direction, shelling was recorded near Bakhmut, Zaitsev, Yakovlevka, Belogorovka and Mayorsk. The occupiers used aircraft to strike at Soledar. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled all attacks near Belogorovka, Soledara, Bakhmutsky, Kodema, Zaitsev and Mayorsk.
In the Avdeevka direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Avdeevka, New York, Peski, Vodyany, Poprosnoy and Nevelskoye. Inflicted an airstrike near Marinka. The occupiers have partial success in the direction of the Poll.
In the Novopavlovsk and Zaporozhye directions, the invaders from tanks and artillery fired at the districts of 14 settlements. The enemy assault in the direction of Shevchenko was unsuccessful, but in the direction of Novomikhailovka the enemy had a partial success.
In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, the Russians, in order to prevent the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fire at the defenders along the entire line of collision with all available weapons. The enemy tried to improve the tactical situation in the direction of Belogorka, but was driven back.
Recall that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the army of the Russian Federation is trying to conduct offensive operations in the Kharkov, Slavyansk, Donetsk, Bakhmut and Zaporozhye directions.
