Before the advent of Pac-Man, bird droppings were a big problem for passengers.
In the American city of San Francisco, a hawk named Pacman became a security guard at one of the subway stations – a predator scares pigeons. This was reported by Reuters.
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) contracted bird owner Ricky Ortiz, as noted. According to its terms, a man and his hawk patrolled the station and its surroundings three days a week, scaring away the pigeons.
BART notes that before Pac-Man, bird droppings were a big problem for passengers at this particular station, which has many ledges, signs, platforms and pipelines.
The publication informs that Ortiz feeds the bird pieces of quail or rabbit meat so that it does not start eating pigeons or local rodents during the work.
