Germany has handed over four more Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery mounts to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the German government.
In total, Kyiv received 12 units of the APU Gepard from Berlin. Also delivered in the last few days:
-
49 thousand shells in Gepard;
-
three armored recovery vehicles.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, only five of the 15 PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers transferred by Germany and the Netherlands are in working order. This was previously stated by a member of the Bundestag Defense Committee Markus Faber, who returned from a multi-day trip to Ukraine. As far as he knows, not a single self-propelled howitzer was destroyed by the Russian military. Faber noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using howitzers, which, accordingly, need spare parts.
Recall that last month, exercises of our fighters on the control of Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns began at German training grounds.
