Some citizens and even the military decided not to fight the invaders, but for their rating in the information space, Zelensky believes.
President Volodymyr Zelensky urged officials and the military not to divulge details of Ukraine’s defense plans and to give less specific details. On Thursday, August 11, he called for restraint in his video message.
“I want to note today an important thing for all representatives of the state and local authorities, the military field and other people commenting on the events at the front, the command’s defense plan, the preparation of the particular operation. The general rule is simple: War is certainly no time for meaningless and noisy statements. The less specific details you give about our defense plans, the better for implementation of these defense plans,” the president said.
He mentioned that responsibility must be felt in every word.
“If you want to leave high-profile headlines to yourself, it’s one thing. It’s frankly irresponsible. If you want success for Ukraine, then it’s another thing, and you should feel your responsibility for in every spoken word about what our state is preparing for defense or counter-offensives,” said Zelensky.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense, together with the SBU, is working to prevent and combat the leakage of important military information, in particular, through the media and other public communications.
It will be remembered that the former deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate gave classified data to the occupiers about the activities carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
