Belarus announced a fire at the military airport

Explosions and at least eight outbreaks occurred at Zyabrovka airfield, according to a local monitoring group.

In the Gomel region of Belarus, at the Zyabrovka military airport, equipment caught fire this evening. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus on the morning of Thursday, August 11.

“August 10, at about 11 pm, during a control run of one of the pieces of equipment after the engine was replaced, it caught fire. The crew took timely extinguishing measures. There were no casualties, ” said the military department.

In turn, the Belaruska Gayun monitoring group reported explosions and flare-ups at the Zyabrovka airfield, citing several sources. There have been at least eight outbreaks in total.

From 00:25 to 00:32 explosions were heard, a (shock) wave was felt, several times through continuous clouding (visible) light glimpses. The direction is Zyabrov airfield, the message said.

It should be reminded that in early July, Belarus transferred the Zyabrovka airport under full Russian control. A Russian military base was built there and a large amount of equipment was concentrated.
