The supervisory authority noted that they are conducting a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings initiated against a business entity linked to Russia.
The investigation is conducted on the facts of appropriation, embezzlement of property, tax evasion, legalization of property obtained by criminal means and complicity with the aggressor state (part 4 of article 191, part 3 of article 212, part 3 of article 209, part 1 article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
“The company occupies a leading position in the Ukrainian market for the supply of medicines to healthcare institutions in Ukraine,” said the statement.
According to the investigation, business officials have direct connections to the Russian Federation and may be involved in state funding of the aggressor.
“At the request of the prosecutors, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv seized part of the authorized capital of the company, which belongs to a legal entity registered in the Russian Federation,” the prosecutor’s office said.
The previous day, it was reported that the arrested corporate rights of companies for more than 350 million hryvnias were transferred to the management of ARMA. Among them is one of the recently closed biggest malls in Kyiv. According to media reports, we are talking about Ocean Plaza, which may be owned by a Russian businessman and friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin – Arkady Rotenberg.
