The reason for the hacker attack was the country’s recent application for membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.
The website of the Finnish Parliament has been hacked. At the same time, on Tuesday, August 9, the hacker group NoName057, associated with Russia, said that it had hacked the website of the Finnish Parliament.
“We have decided to pay a “friendly” visit to neighboring Finland, whose authorities are very eager to join NATO, and have dropped the internal authorization service on the website of this country’s parliament,” reported the Telegram channel of Russian hackers.
The website of the Finnish Parliament is currently unavailable. When I try to access the site, I get a “Service IP address not found” message.
The Finnish parliament confirmed the attack on the site and said they will take steps to combat cyber attacks with the cybersecurity center.
It should be noted that the CERT-UA government response team to computer emergencies in Ukraine, which operates under the State Special Communications Service, has recorded 1,350 cyber attacks since the beginning of the year.
