The Russians may use rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers when they drop a colony of Ukrainian prisoners of war, according to acting regiment commander Nikita Nadtochiy.
Russian invaders may use rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers (RPO) Shmel to kill Ukrainian defenders in Yelenovka, Donetsk region. Such RPOs burn oxygen quickly and the victim burns quickly. This was said by the acting commander of Azov, Major Nikita Nadtochy with the call sign One-Two in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda, published on Tuesday, August 9.
“I prefer to believe that… the so-called Bumblebee was used. That’s how it works. That is, in one second, the oxygen is completely burned, and a person is burned in a few seconds. I don’t consider -for any other point that Russia tried in all the early days to publish and somehow impose an opinion. It is out of the question. It cannot happen. It will be seen that, probably, they worked on Bumblebees. Just a planned action. This is also proven by the fact that not a single colony worker was injured there. This also cannot happen,” he said.
According to him, he found out about the tragedy a little more than the media wrote about it. Ukrainian defenders almost immediately realized that this was not a shelling.
The serviceman noted that on Thursday night, July 28, men called him from there and said they were “working” on them.
Nadtochy immediately called “some authorities”, who, perhaps, may know something about this “job”. The latter called and said that none of the artillery brigades had received the coordinate data for the test. The next morning, the same men called him and confirmed that there were dead and wounded. At the same time, they began to doubt among themselves that these were definitely “parishes.”
“That is, most likely, they just heard pops, an explosion, and then they saw through the windows that something was shining somewhere. You saw the video – there are nearby buildings, they are standing with windows. This does not happen. A blast wave from a projectile or from missiles does not leave windows when the buildings are very close,” added the acting commander of the Azov regiment.
Reactive infantry flamethrower RPO-A Shmel – Soviet and Russian reactive infantry flamethrower disposable. It is a thermobaric rocket-propelled grenade filled with a fire mixture.
During the explosion, the high-temperature pulse is accompanied by a sharp drop in pressure, which is formed due to the explosion of the fuel-air mixture.
Destroys all living things up to 80 m³; affected area: in an open area – from 50 m², in a confined space – up to 80 m².
Recall, “DNR” stated that during the shelling of the colony in Yelenovka, 47 people died, 75 were injured, including eight guards.
In this regard, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out targeted deliberate shelling of the correctional institution in Yelenovka, and the statements about the alleged’ y shelling from the Ukrainian side is a blatant lie and a provocation.
It was also reported that the Main Intelligence Directorate saw no reason to trust the Russian Federation’s lists of victims in Yelenovka.
