Denmark will host a conference of northern European defense allies of Ukraine, Reznikov will attend.
This week, a conference of northern European allies will be held in Copenhagen, which will be a continuation of the Ramstein-format meetings on military aid to Ukraine. This was announced on Monday, August 8, by the spokesman of the German Defense Ministry, Arno Kolats, writes Ukrinform.
“It is important for us that the aid can be sustainable, long-term. And this somewhat distinguishes this format from the Ramstein format, where we are talking about short-term arms supplies to Ukraine. The format of This conference is well suited to our concept,” he said.
In particular, the meeting will discuss issues of long-term financing, training of the Ukrainian military, and others.
Kolatz noted that Germany plans to make a contribution that “will be a little bit broader than the Ramstein format.”
A meeting at the level of defense ministers in the capital of Denmark will take place on August 11. It will be attended by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, as well as countries such as: Great Britain, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania , Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, USA, Finland, Czech Republic, Sweden and in VTC format – Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
It should be noted that meetings of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format are held approximately once a month. Read about the results of the Ramstein-3 meeting in the material Correspondent.net.
