In Kyiv, the National Guardsmen detained a repeat offender with shooting.
The incident occurred on the night of today, August 7, around midnight. This was reported by the press service of the National Guard.
It is noted that the car, which was driven by the attacker, at high speed tried to pass through the checkpoint.
At the request of the servicemen, the driver did not stop, resulting in a collision with anti-tank hedgehogs and means for the forced stop of vehicles, the report says.
As a result, the National Guardsmen fired two warning shots, after which they opened fire on this car, which caused the vehicle to stop. The driver of the car left her and started to run away.
The guards found and detained the offender – he turned out to be a citizen of Ukraine who had been repeatedly convicted of criminal offenses, who probably stole a vehicle and tried to find a hiding place on the streets of Kyiv at night and, among other things, was in a state of intoxication, the report says.
The detainee was handed over to the police for further clarification of all circumstances.
