US officials told Western media that the new package for Ukraine includes ammunition for the HIMARS long-range artillery system and the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system.
The United States is working on a new $1 billion military aid package for Ukraine. This was reported by Reuters news agency on Friday, August 5, citing its sources.
US officials told the media that US President Joseph Biden has yet to sign a decree on a new aid package. Accordingly, its content and cost may vary.
According to them, if the aid package is signed in its current form, Ukraine will receive ammunition for long-range HIMARS artillery systems and NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems.
The new aid package also includes 50 M113 armored medical vehicles.
Last week, the media reported that North Macedonia donated T-72 tanks to Ukraine. The country is armed with 31 units of this armored vehicle.
