The Russian Foreign Ministry has “sentenced” YouTube

Google blocked the official YouTube channel of Russia’s State Duma, calling it Zakharova’s verdict on hosting the video.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Saturday, April 9, that “YouTube has signed its own verdict.”

“Most likely, YouTube signed its own judgment. Keep the content, transfer it to Russian platforms. And fast,” he wrote.

Zakharova made such a statement after Google blocked the Duma TV channel on YouTube, Russia’s official State Duma channel.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor said that hosting the video on YouTube engaged in terrorism. Russia has asked the platform to stop broadcasting “anti-Russian” videos that have surfaced over the past few weeks.

Prior to that, YouTube blocked Russian state media propaganda channels around the world.
