Assemblies of civilians for any purpose are not of interest to Ukrainian defenders, assured Mykhailo Podolyak.
The Ukrainian military does not cover the temporarily occupied cities of Donbass, including Donetsk, and the Russian border settlements. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said this in a commentary for the breakfast show program on the YouTube channel of Russian journalist Alexander Plushev on Thursday, August 4.
Today in Donetsk, the funeral of the terrorist Olga Kachura, nicknamed Korsa, who was liquidated the previous day, was held, where Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously. The separatist media say that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly bombarded the central part of Donetsk, including the construction of the drama theater, where the ceremony was held. Five died and six others were injured.
Mykhailo Podolyak denied these accusations of propagandists. According to him, the Ukrainian military has only three types of targets, and they do not include civilian objects and events in Donetsk.
“We need to destroy three things: fuel depots, depots with artillery shells and operational-tactical headquarters. We fight creatively and effectively, we do not need demonstrative strikes, they will not solve any problems, Podolyak said.
He blamed the shelling in Donetsk today on the Russian occupiers. According to Podolyak, such attacks are necessary to expose the “Ukronazis” as animals and motivate the Russians to act to continue killing Ukrainians. He called this tactic “simple and primitive”.
Recall that today the Russian aggressors opened fire on the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region. Eight civilians were killed and four others were injured, including three children.
