The procedure will be used both for filing applications for compensation and for preparing lawsuits against Russia.
The Ministry of Economy and the State Property Fund developed an official procedure for determining the damage and amount of damage caused to businesses as a result of destruction and damage to property during the war. The draft joint order was published on August 4 on the website of the Ministry of Economy for discussion.
It will take effect after official publication.
Damage includes:
-
real damage (the value of destroyed movable and immovable property, vehicles, inventories, unified property complexes, cultural values, etc.);
-
lost profit (the amount of profit that the owner or user of the property could have received if it had not been destroyed);
-
expenses necessary for the restoration of property and property rights.
The procedure will be used both for filing applications for compensation and for preparing lawsuits against Russia.
Remember, earlier it was reported that the agricultural sector of Ukraine during the war received losses from 4 to 6 billion dollars. These include damage to infrastructure such as equipment, storage facilities, shipping and processing infrastructure, greenhouses, field crops, livestock.
