Constant signals about the “vote” testify to Moscow’s uncertainty about maintaining control over the temporarily occupied territories, believes Igor Zhovkva.
The Russian Federation will not hold “referendums” in the occupied territories of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, because they will not be able to keep them under their control. Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, said this in an interview with LB.
According to Zhovkva, this is proven by the changes in the dates of the pseudo-referendum.
“Previously, it was about September 11, because it coincided with a single voting day in Russia, then reports began that these pseudo-referendums might not be held in September, but later . In any case, I do not want to study it , because we are sure that such a “referendum” will not happen, because these territories are not under the control of the Russian Federation,” said the deputy head of the President’s Office.
According to him, the constant signals about the “vote” testify to Moscow’s uncertainty about maintaining control over the temporarily occupied territories.
“Therefore, all the Kremlin is doing is broadcasting such information to an internal Russian audience,” Zhovkva summarized.
Earlier, the CEC said that the “referendum” of the occupiers of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine would have no legal consequences.
