Mushrooms are not recommended for pregnant women, breastfeeding women and the elderly. Doctors also note that children under the age of 12 should not be fed mushrooms or dishes from them.
Since the beginning of the year, 12 foci of wild mushroom poisoning have been registered in Ukraine, the number of people poisoned is 19 people, including a child. This was announced on Wednesday, August 3, on the website of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
It was noted that such cases of poisoning by wild mushrooms were recorded against the background of the current ban on visiting the forest.

“Frequent cases of poisoning with wild mushrooms have been recorded in Ukraine, despite the ban on visiting forests, because the conflict covers about 600,000 hectares of forest. In particular, a severe ban is applies to Sumy, Chernihiv, Rivne regions, where cases were recorded. ,” the publication said.
Doctors determined that most of the victims of wild mushroom poisoning were registered in the Vinnitsa region – six adults needed medical care there. In the Chernihiv region – five people suffered from mushrooms, in Chernivtsi – three. In the Rivne region, two people were poisoned by mushrooms, another case – in Sumy.
At the same time, experts added that no deaths have been recorded due to mushroom poisoning.
The Ministry of Health warns that some symptoms may indicate mushroom poisoning:

severe stomach pain;

diarrhea;

dizziness;
-
increase in body temperature;

decrease in heart rate;

shortness of breath, irritation;

convulsions;
-
bleeding from the extremities (cold hands and feet);

delusion, hallucination.
The Ministry of Health emphasizes that if any of these symptoms are present, a doctor should be called immediately.
Earlier, in the Zhytomyr region, in Korosten, the mother of Bogdan Mucha, a member of the Voice of the Country, died of mushrooms. Tragedy also happened to the girl’s mother and brother.
