In Washington, they consider the possibility of shifting to the Kyiv Tomahaw long -range missile and removed the restrictions of ATACMs. Next week, the Ukrainian delegation goes to negotiations.
President Vladimir Zelensky during a meeting with US President Donald Trump was asked to provide Ukraine longer missiles and allow the use of such weapons to defeat Russian goals. Also in the White House is the possibility of giving Ukraine Tomahawk missiles. On Friday, September 26, the Wall Street Journal reported that there was a reference to the words of American and Ukrainian officials.
According to the publication, Trump replied that he did not object to this idea, even though he did not obtain any obligations to cancel the ban on attacks.
It has been mentioned next week that the Ukrainian delegation will go to Washington for negotiations with the Defense Pit Highset minister. Among the main topics is the removal of restrictions on the use of American arm systems in Russia.
The US administration has forbidden Ukraine to use distant missiles provided by the United States, in particular ATACMS systems, for attacks in Russia, which is why they complained that they could not fight again in Moscow.
The WSJ also, citing high US and EU officials, confirms that the White House is considering the possibility of selling Tomahawk’s cruise missiles and other long weapons for Ukraine.
We remind you, earlier the media reported that Tomahawk Zelensky asked Trump at a closed New York meeting.
And the day before, in an interview, Zelensky said Ukraine had Trump’s support for the blows to Russian targets. He confirmed that he declared Trump a certain request – about the new weapon system, which, in his opinion, would force Putin to sit at the negotiation table.
