Ukrainians bought bitcoins at about $ 900 million – EBRR for one year

Ukrainians spent 882 million US dollars for buying bitcoins over the year. This was proven by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) report.

The document record that Ukraine has become one of the most active cryptocurrency users. For the period from July 2023 to July 2024, cryptocurrencies at the cost of 106 billion US dollars were received in the country. At the same time, the costs of the Ukrainians for the purchase of Bitcoins reached $ 882 million in the equivalent of hryvnia.

The last increase in cryptocurrency sphere was a major cause of institutional translations, values ​​from 1 to 10 million US dollars, as well as professional translations from 10 thousand to $ 1 million.

It has been reported that Ukraine, Nigeria and Türkiye show the fastest speed of the introduction of cryptocurrencies. According to the Global Crypto Adoption Index 2024 from chainalysis, Ukraine and Nigeria have entered the top ten countries with the highest level of use of cryptocurrency technologies, while Türkiye took place in the 11th ranking area.

In addition, lawmakers in Ukrainians are actively employed in the legalization of the digital assets market. As previously reported, Verkhovna Rada on September 3 was adopted in the first reading of Bill No. 10225-D, which provides for the creation of a legal framework for regulating virtual properties and their taxation.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine was preparing a comprehensive law on virtual possessions, providing for the introduction of taxes with cryptocurrencies.
