The European Union finances the food of Ukrainian students worth about 200 million euros.
This was announced by the head of the European Commission of Ursula von Der Lien during a speech at the conference “Restoration of childhood and humanity, awakening the world in Ukraine” through the return of Ukrainian children, ”reports Ursula Der Lyen, RBC-UkRaine reports.
The European Union supports Ukraine. That is why today I am happy to inform you that we are ready to allocate about 200 million euros for school dinners, ”she said.
Von der Liaen also emphasized that the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia is a crime that requires a decisive international answer and promised to help Ukraine in the return of Russian children.
We will not stop until the children of Ukraine return home. Our obligation applies to everyone who is still captured on a foreign land, ”she said.
It is noted that the European Union, together with UNICEF, allocates more than 10 million euros, so that returned Ukrainian children can “recover, study and dream again.”
Von der Lyan added that the EU has already imposed sanctions with more than 50 people involved in the abduction of children:
This struggle is not only a case of Ukraine. This requires a definition of peace to maximize pressure on Russia.
She also emphasized that more than 1.5 million Ukrainian children are currently in the temporarily occupied territories and “grow in the shade of forced Russian.”
This is not just a war crime. This is an attempt to destroy the identity of Ukraine. To steal her future, kidnapping their children. Deprive them from their names, languages, memories and replace them with a lie. However, in this darkness there are stories of hope – von der Lien.
