Most implementations are associated with crimes that do not meet the standards of “serious crime” in accordance with international law.
One thousand people were executed in Iran during the nine months of 2025. Last week, 64 implementations were recorded, on average more than nine cases of hanging each day. This is stated in a press release from the Human Rights Organization Iran Human Rights (Ihrngo).
Published statistics are a “completely minimum.” Due to lack of transparency and reporting restrictions, this figure is believed to be higher.
Ihrngo again called the international community to take appropriate measures to prevent the continuation of the killings of the Iranian population behind the bars.
Most implementations are focused for drug crimes, and other crimes that are not related to mortals that do not meet the standards of “serious crime” in accordance with international human rights law.
Ihrngo data suggests that 50% of all implementations were committed for drug crimes, another 43% for killings, and 3% – for safety crimes, such as armed revolt, “world corruption” and wrath to God. Another 3% implementation was assigned for rape, while 1% – for spy in favor of Israel.
Of the 1000 implementation, only 11% were declared official resources. None of the drug -related implementations were officially declared.
As we have written, according to the UN, Iran has made at least 975 implementation in 2024 – this is the highest indicator since 2015. At least four killings are public. The basic method of implementation remains hanging.
