In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the driver of the car took the sheep onto the herd and left the stage.
The incident occurred in the village of Vorokhta, the Obvirna district. This was reported by the police press Prykarpattya.
It is noted that the incident reported to law enforcement officers on September 21 at 23.00.
Patrol police response groups previously established that the 32-year-old Ford Focus driver in the dark did not take into account the road, did not choose the safe speed of the movement and hit the agricultural animals moving along the central part of the roadway, which was not covered.
The driver was checked for intoxication, he was sober.
The police reported the driver in accordance with the following articles of the Code of Administrative Crimes:
- Article 122-4 (leaving the place of traffic accident);
- Art. 124 (violation of the rules of movement that damaged vehicles, cargo, roads, streets, railway crossings, road structures or other property);
- Article 126 (the management of a vehicle with a person who does not have relevant documents on the right to drive such a vehicle or did not represent it for verification, or in respect of which a temporary restriction on the right of vehicle management was established).
The local publication Galka.if.ua reports that, according to witnesses, at least 28 sheep were killed, and the shepherd barely managed to avoid a “crazy” car.
