Ukraine can buy Zuzana-2 self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS) from Slovakia. On Friday, April 8, Dennikn reported in relation to the country’s Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy, who confirmed “business negotiations” on Friday, April 8.
If the Ukrainian government bought the Zuzana howitzer, it would be one of the biggest export successes of the Slovak arms industry in 30 years.
Negotiations for the purchase of this military equipment are said to be almost over. Ukraine could receive 16 artillery mounts.
The self-propelled artillery mount Zuzana-2 produced by Konstrukta-Defense is equipped with a 155-mm howitzer. The maximum firing range is 41 kilometers. The mass of the self-propelled guns was 32 tons, the crew consisted of four people. The automatic charging system allows for six shots per minute or 16 shots in three minutes.
Earlier on Friday, it was learned that Slovakia had provided the S-300 air defense system to Ukraine. The very process of transferring the anti-aircraft missile system to the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place secretly and lasted two days.
