The US leader will affect some European states that “engage in energy in the economy’s economy in the Russian Federation,” the President of Ukraine believes.

Ukraine expects to strengthen sanctions against Russia from Europe and USA, while restriction slows down pressure in Moscow. President Vladimir Zelensky said this while talking to journalists on September 19.

“If the war goes on, and there are no movements in the direction of the world, we look forward to the penalties. This is the second topic I will raise at a meeting with President Trump. President Trump expects strong steps from Europe. I expressed his opinion: I think we are losing a lot of time, if we wait, don’t impose sanctions or not take any steps we really expect from him,” Zelensky said.

Ukraine supports the idea that all Europe is imposing penalties, strengthening tariff policy against countries that buy energy sources from Russia, but “tie all this to slow Putin,” the President added.

Zelensky also commented on Trump’s statement about Europe and China: the US president wants to “take winter measures”, such as Europe.

“For our part, we support his position. And we, for our part, work with European countries so they refuse more from Ruky’s energy sources. But to provide it is a very complex process. The main thing is the result,” he emphasized.

Trump will take its serious steps, it will push some European states, which engages in the energy economy in the Russian Federation, Zelensky believes.

“We believe that, for example, the Slovaks are close to it. Everyone is looking at the United States, I think. Orban can’t remain united. Well, not just Orban or Hungary there … There are some other countries that also provide infrastructure that is consistent with it all, for the” Russian “sources of energy,” the head of the state summary.

As you know, Trump has announced the readiness of the United States to impose a “serious” penalty in Russia if NATO countries have stopped importing energy sources from the Russian Federation. At the same time, he criticized Europe for inadequate determination of the issue of penalties and the continuation of Russian oil extraction.

Later, European Commission president Ursula Von der Leyen in response was proposed to accelerate the gradual reduction in Russian fuel imports. His initiative sounded after discussing this issue with the US President.
