From now on, Iran has an interference with the supply of weapons and military equipment, restrictions on nuclear activities, financial and banking restrictions, flights and transportation restrictions, as well as sanctions against specific people.
The UN Security Council on Friday, September 19, restored restrictions against Iran, which acted before the 2015 nuclear agreement, denied the proposal to extend the regime’s softening. Only four countries voted for the expansion of penalties – Russia, China, Algeria and Pakistan, Ukrinform reports.
Denmark, France, Greece, Panama, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Somalia, Great Britain and the United States voted against. Gayana and the Republic of Korea avoided.
If the resolution is adopted, it will stop the action of the UN penalties imposed on Iran before signing a joint comprehensive action plan (SVPD) of 2015, thus protecting the alleviation of the restrictions provided by Tehran as part of the agreement.
Prior to the vote, France emphasized the violation of the Iran’s nuclear program and the restriction of Magate access to the key things. The permanent representative of the Zheir Bonnapon noted that the Islamic Republic has accumulated reserves of enriched uranium, which significantly exceeds the limit set by the agreement.
From now on, the following penalties have been restored against Iran: the interference for the provision of military weapons and equipment; restrictions on nuclear activities; Financial and Banking restrictions; Aviation and transport restrictions related to Iran and Iran’s goods; punishment against specific people.
Remember that in 2015 Iran signed a Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (SVPD) with the world’s leading powers, aimed at solving problems related to its nuclear program. However, in 2018, the Donald Trump administration decided to get out of this agreement, restoring all American penalties against Iran.
The US Department of Finance on July 30 this year has announced the largest penalties against Iran since 2018.
Earlier it was reported that the United States had increased pressure on Russian and Iran’s accomplices for the prevention of penalties.
