Nearly 492 thousand people in the country have an uncertain status, among them a significant portion of Ukrainians, German authorities have noticed.
The number of refugees in Germany at the first time at 14 years refused. In the first half of 2025, their number was reduced by nearly 50 thousand people – from 3.545 million to the end of 2024 to 3.495 million. This was reported by the German journal Spiegel.
The factors for reducing refugees are eviction, voluntary journeys and naturalization. Last year, more than 83 thousand former Syrian citizens received German citizenship.
At the same time, approximately 492 thousand people in the country remain uncertain status. A significant part of this category is Ukrainian refugees. According to the German side, in July, 1.27 million Ukrainians lived in Germany.
“This is really not a reason for the festival, because there are more reasons for flying the world than before. The fact that the full number of refugees in Germany has reduced is the demonstration of ignorance of talks about non -emergency EU law in the provision of asylum,” said the left party representative Clara Buber.
As we have already written, the German government plans to introduce more strict policies for obtaining society’s help to the unemployed, received, including refugees from Ukraine.
