The Magate approved a resolution requiring an immediate de -Zaporizhzhia NPP.
At the 69th General Conference of the International Agency for Nuclear Energy, a resolution was supported, which calls for the Russian Federation to immediately remove its troops from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and return it under the full control of Kyiv. The document initiated by Ukraine was approved by 62 member states. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported this in Telegram.
It is noted that the resolution has a requirement to demilitarize the territory of the “atomic” and leave this unsurpassed military and other personnel.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svetlana Grinchuk emphasized that “nuclear terrorism is unacceptable, and ZPP should be immediately returned under the control of Ukraine.”
The document also refers to the Russian shelling of the Chernobyl region and damages a new safe conclusion that creates additional risks for nuclear security in the world.
The Ministry of Energy said that they are considering the adoption of a resolution as an important step towards restoring nuclear security. The agency called for increasing international pressure on the Russian Federation to comply with all the solutions of the IAEA.
We recall that recently in the IAEA they said that as a result of the classroom of the nuclear power plant Zaporizheski, almost all the pillars of nuclear safety were violated at the atom. The invaders were violated for six out of seven nuclear security pillars – the key components of the nuclear and physical protection detected at the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
