The Law on Military Ombudsman was approved by the Parliament of Ukraine.
On Wednesday, September 17, Verkhovna Rada, as a rule, adopted a law on military Ombudsman. Law No. 13266 “On Military Ombudsman” was supported by 283 deputies. This became known from the broadcast of the parliamentary session.
The document provides that the President of Ukraine will appoint a military ombudsman and his deputies. It is also supposed to create a military Ombudsman as an auxiliary body for civil democratic control in the security and defense sector.
The bill also determines the procedure for filing and considering complaints of military personnel, procedures for conducting inspections in military units, as well as the process of interaction between the Ombudsman with other state bodies.
We will recall that on September 16, Verkhovna Rada voted 239 deputies in the second bill on reading No. 13302 “On the formation of a specialized district administrative court, a specialized appellate administrative court”.
