Mirage-2000 fighters were moved to Ukraine of France. At the same time, the true number of aircraft sent are the smallest forecasts.
The number of Mirage 2000-5F warriors transferred by France for Ukraine is lower in all numbers that sound earlier in the media, writes Defense Express.
The publication refers to the annual report of the French Ministry of Defense. Thus, the document noted that the Mirage 2000-5F value in the country’s wind forces until December 31, 2024 was 23 units. At the same time, last year there were 28 units.
It is also indicated that the Double Mirage 2000B has been fully transferred to the aircraft of training and is used to teach 2000d mirage pilots and 2000-5 mirage.
“So, Ukraine, at least at the beginning of the year, when the Air Force of the Ukraine Mirage 2000-5 was announced, only get five fighters removed from France’s Air Force,” Defense Express analysts are summarizing.
The publication reminds that Paris has never disclosed the number of machines transferred to Ukraine. However, even the versions about the possible move of 20 mirage 2000-5F aircraft, all in the real state ready in France, which used to sound in the media. The counts of 12 aircraft are also called, as the most possible number, and six, as a compromise solution.
Analysts also note that even less than five aircraft can be moved to Ukraine. A board can be left in France for the training of pilots and technicians, and only four are sent physically.
Remember that in July, during the flight of the Mirage-2000 fighter, the aircraft declined. The pilot catapulted.
It was later found that French multi-purpose fighter Mirage 2000 suffered an accident in the Volyn region and drowned in a swamp.
