The Affordable Loans program will be operational from October 1, 2022 for four categories of citizens. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, the first category is contract servicemen and employees of the security and defense sector. The second category is physicians. The third is teachers and pedagogical workers. The fourth category is scientists.
“The mortgage rate for all these categories of citizens will be 3%. The mortgage term is up to 20 years. The minimum down payment is 20% of the housing cost,” said Shmygal.
He also said that from next year the program will work for all Ukrainians who need to improve their living conditions. The rate will also be preferential and will be only 7% per annum.
Earlier it was reported that “affordable” loans have suddenly increased in price in Ukraine. The interest rate on loans will increase due to the decision of the National Bank.
