Ukraine can transfer the heating season without restrictions on electricity consumption in the absence of systemic attacks on the grid.
This was reported by the Ukranford agency with reference to the commentary of the NEC press “Ukrenergo” press.
If there are no new systematic attacks on energy facilities, there are every reason to count on the winter season without restrictions on electricity consumption, ”the company said.
It is noted that in general, the energy system is planned for the winter, but its successful work will depend on the intensity of hostile shocks and recovery speeds.

The company noted:
- Ukraine managed to restore part of the lost generation and damaged elements of the transmission system;
- The impact on the situation in the energy system already has newly constructed distributed generation objects – both connected to the network and those that are used by business as reserve power sources.
According to companies that produce electricity at gas turbine and gas installations, generation of this type in Ukraine in 2025 as of September was more than 200%, Ukrenergo noted.
In winter, the operator of the energy system plans to attract all available sources of generation and capabilities provided by commercial electricity exchange in neighboring European countries.
Active preparation of the transmission system for winter also goes. In particular, we are talking about the restoration of equipment damaged by Russians and replenishment of materials necessary for repair.
