The resources of the Russian Central Election Commission were a huge hacker attack.
Cyberfakhivtsi of the main directorate of intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked the resources of the Russian sec in relation to SO, applied on one day of voting on September 14, to violate the illegal vote, which the Kremlin holds in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Babel announced this about the link to sources in intelligence.
DDOS-TAKA was aimed at digital resources participating in the so-called elections. In particular:
- CEC servers and remote electronic voting platform (HeG), which participate in online voting in the elections of city mayors and governors in the Russian Federation;
- Main routers Rostelecom;
- Servers of the state portal of digital services of the Russian Federation “Hos Service”.
It is noted that the attack was paralyzed by the operation of digital services, which took place online, so some of the Russians could not vote in the elections of mayors and governors of urban people in the regions of the country of aggressor.
We recall that in July Cyberfachivtsi Gur attacked the infrastructure of the Russian company Gazprom. Hackers of Ukrainian military intelligence managed to destroy large volumes of data, backup copies, databases of subsidiaries, as well as analytics of pipelines and technical systems. Servers, including those responsible for managing the infrastructure, were also damaged.
