A spokesperson for the UN Secretary General said the UN had received requests to investigate the terrorist attack in Yelenovka from Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets said that Ukraine did not receive a signal from the UN on the terrorist attack in Yelenovka, where there was a massacre of Ukrainian prisoners of war. He said this on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon.
“I can report that we have communication with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the situation with the United Nations is worse. I send letters, official requests. I did this on the first day, immediately after the tragedy. Some kind of signal, even though it is not official, I personally did not receive it. I can confirm this publicly,” he said.
As AJ English UN reporter Amanda Price reports on Twitter, the Press Secretary of the UN Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, confirmed that the UN has received requests to investigate the terrorist attack in Yelenovka from Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The requests are said to be under consideration.
“The UN is considering requests from Ukraine and Russia to conduct an investigation into the deadly attack on the facility where prisoners of war were held in Yelenovka. The UN is studying whether conditions exist that would make it possible investigation,” said the UN official.
Remember, on July 29, “DPR” said that 47 people were killed in the shooting in the colony, 75 were injured, including eight guards.
In this regard, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out targeted deliberate shelling of the correctional institution in Yelenovka, and the statements about the alleged’ y shelling from the Ukrainian side is a blatant lie and a provocation.
