In the temporarily occupied territories of the Lugansk region, the chairman of the occupation administration Leonid Pasichy signed a decree prohibiting the use of satellite antennas, which allow Ukrainian channels.
By November 1, 2025, the owners of such antennas were required to dismantle the equipment. This was reported in the telegram of the Center for the fight against misinformation.
Instead, people are imposed by an “alternative” – a free replacement of the old antennas with equipment from the Russian measure operator, which translates exclusively Russian and joint channels, ”the CPD says.
CPD emphasizes that the invaders do not even hide that the purpose of these measures is to limit people of access to information from “unfriendly countries”. Thus, the Russian authorities actually close any opportunity to get other information, except for the promotion of the Kremlin.
This is another step towards the complete information isolation of residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Russia is afraid of truths, so it seeks to separate people from Ukrainian and world sources of information, ”CPD emphasizes.
