The largest complex of energy storage systems with a capacity of 200 MW has begun in Ukraine.
It was built by DTEK in partnership with the American Fluence Energy BV energy storage company about this today, September 11, the press service of the Ministry of Energy said.
The complex includes 6 objects in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions built for a record short -term – only one year. Investments in the project amounted to 125 million euros, ”the ministry says.
The system will be able to store a total of 400 MW of electricity, which is enough to provide electricity up to 600,000 houses for two hours.
The DTEK press service reports that six new objects of various capacities are connected to the power system-with 20 to 50 mV.
The work of new systems will increase the safety of the power source, reduces the risks of shutdowns and accidents, especially in the context of destroying the generation of noise, ”Dtek emphasizes.
The construction of facilities lasted six months-on March to August 2025. It is clearly noted that this is much faster than the standard time for the implementation of such projects, because the need to do all the work before the start of the autumn winter period.
