France continues to provide military assistance to Ukraine, despite changes in the crisis in the French political system.
France has confirmed the unusual military support in Ukraine, despite the inner instability and the appointment of a new prime minister. This was said by European Affairs minister Benjamin Haddad in an interview with Reuters.
The minister emphasized that the country will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, even against the background of changes in the crisis in the French political system – for the past two years the prime minister conquered four different people, and now the fifth has been nominated.
Khaddad noted that regardless of the circumstances, his planned visit to Kyiv will take place. He emphasized that assistance in Ukraine is an important issue that unites representatives of various parties, including socialists, republicans and centers. According to the minister, Ukraine’s support is of a key importance for the national interest of France.
The minister also noted that the defense budget was not only preserved, but also gradually increased in recent years. According to him, France will continue the active supply of military assistance in Ukraine, and its visit will be an important signal of unity. President Emmanuel Macron had previously announced the allocation of an additional two billion euros for the support of the Ukraine military this year.
Remember that former defense minister Sebastien Lekornny became the new Prime Minister of France, according to President Emmanuel Macron’s decision.
Earlier it was reported that France and Germany had made a proposal to the European Union to introduce new penalties aimed at Russian oil company Lukoil and other market participants, helping Russia sell oil.
