Near the office building of the opposition Republican People’s Party there are conflicts between law enforcement officials and protesters.

The residents of Istanbul went to the protest campaign near the republican people’s party (RNP) opposition after the removal of the political organization’s leadership from the performance of the duties and movement of the temporary council’s office. Hurriyet reported this on Monday, September 8.

In many Istanbul areas, people expressed the support of the RNP – protesting the streets, whistling, the sirens turned on and beat the pots from the windows. There are also many conflicts of protesters with the police.

Police surrounded the RNP office, blocked the entrance and output and blocked the road nearby. Today, the leader of the Supervisory Board should come to the office rather than the former party leadership, but the RNP leadership has planned to create a “live chain” to prevent it inside.

“Disappointing the court’s commands and attempts to bring people to the streets is a clear violation of the law. No one is above the law. The state will certainly take the necessary steps against any illegal attempt,” said the Minister of Internal Activity of Turkey Ali Erliky.

Against the rear of the protests, law enforcement officials have confined 14 suspects of account managers, believed to be “distributing provocative and misinformation content,” along with “increasing hate and hatred and urging the commission of crimes.”

On the eve of Istanbul province management was reported the introduction of a three -day demonstration ban, rally, protest in six areas of the city. Locals report disruptions in Internet work and social networks.

The removal of the RNP’s Istanbul branch branch took place after the arrest of the former mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu, one of the party’s leaders. Imamoglu is considered the main rival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the election of 2028.

Remember that the head of Istanbul was arrested on suspicion of corruption, money laundering and terrorism relations. After the restraint of the Imamoglu in Istanbul, the protests exploded, hundreds of people were detained.
