The current White House leader has canceled the decision of his predecessor, to whom the headquarters decided to leave Colorado, and implemented a project launching for Republicans from Alabama for seven years.
The head office of the US Space Command will be transferred from the Colorado-Springs to the city of Huntsville in Alabama. It was at a press conference on Tuesday, September 2, US President Donald Trump announced.
He also announced the changing name of the city of Huntsville.
“I’m glad to tell you that the US Space Forces headquarters are moving elsewhere-in Huntsville, Alabama. The city of Huntsville will be called Rocket City,” Trump said.
According to him, this will lead to the opening of thousands of jobs and billions of investment dollars.
“This is an important solution that will help Americans protect themselves and dominate the new high front,” Trump added.
Thus, Trump canceled his decision as President Joseph Biden from 2023, when the headquarters decided to leave Colorado, and included a project, which was lobbying Republican Party representatives from Alabama.
Huntsville is located north of the state. In 2020, the city’s population reached 215 thousand people, agglomerations – 542 thousand.
Remember that the US Space Command officially began working on August 29, 2019.
