The theft scheme of 25 million US dollars allocated for electricity for the needs of the armed forces.
The national police press reported this today, September 2.
It is noted that the former head of apartments and operational departments in two regions and the director of the controlled enterprise are involved:
- The official completed a number of contracts with a controlled company for the supply of electricity for the needs of military departments;
- Subsequently, the terms of the contracts were changed without objective grounds – the price of the resource was artificially overstated under the pretext of “fluctuations in the market”;
- Thus, the organizers of the scheme illegally seized 25 million UH allocated to provide the army.
These people were informed of suspicion, their actions were qualified in accordance with part 5 of art. 191 – purpose or waste of ownership in large sizes and part 4 of art. 425 of the Criminal Code – a careless attitude to military service.
The issue of precautions is currently being resolved.
The sanction of articles provides a 12 -year prison conclusion with the deprivation of the right to take certain positions or to engage in certain types of activities for three years and with confiscation of property, the police said.
